What is the average weight for a 5’0 female? According to extensive body weight research, the average weight for a 5’0 female is approximately 160 pounds or 72.57 kilograms.

The average weight for a 5’0 woman is around 11 pounds less than for all women, which is to be expected given that a 5 foot woman is nearly 4 inches shorter than average.

There may be many 5 foot women who weigh less than the 160-pound average.

However, people are generally getting heavier, and there are plenty of women these days who struggle with their weight.

So, when you combine these different weights, you get a rough average of 160 lbs, which is actually considered obese for a woman who’s only 5 feet tall.

Based on our research, the average weight for a 5’0 male is between 160 lbs and 165 lbs, which works out to between 72.57 kg and 74.84 kg in kilograms.

Given that a 5 foot man is around 9 inches shorter than average, it’s only natural that he’s going to weigh a lot less than average as well.

The average guy is around 200 lbs, so a body weight of between 160 lbs and 165 lbs definitely seems reasonable (reasonable in that it’s accurate, not healthy) for a 5 foot man.

Obviously, since such a body weight is classed as obese (not just overweight!), it needs to be lowered if a 5’0 man wants to enjoy his best health.

What is a good BMI for a 5 foot woman?

A healthy BMI for a 5 foot female

A good BMI for a 5 foot woman is a body mass index between 18.5 and 24.9, which is considered a normal BMI.

Still, it’s probably best to avoid BMIs that are on the lowermost and uppermost ends of the normal range (especially on the lower end).

For this reason, achieving and then maintaining a BMI in between these two points is likely ideal for the majority of 5 foot women because it means avoiding both obesity and malnutrition.
